Services
Nursing Services
Our Home health nurses provide direct care and teach you and your family caregivers about your care. They also manage, observe, and evaluate your care. Any service that could be done safely by a non-medical person (or by yourself) without the supervision of a nurse, is not considered skilled nursing care. Our Home health nurses are Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), they coordinate all care with physicians and provide our client updates as needed.
CHH In-home care services includes:
- Health Assessments including blood pressure monitoring and other vital signs, glucose monitoring, post operation.
- Teaching about diseases and treatment
- Wound care & dressing changes
- IV management
- Medication reconciliation and reports to doctors or pharmacists and administration
- Injections & Foot care
- Management of urinary catheters
- Tubes, drains & bags
Companion Care Services
This in-home service consists of home-based supervision and monitoring activities that assist and/or instruct an individual in maintaining a comfortable and supportive environment when the person is unable to do so alone.
CHH Companion Care Includes:
- Provide a supportive and comfortable environment
- Assist with phone calls and correspondence
- Provide recreational activities and friendly conversation
- Assist with errands and supervise activities as directed, such as taking medication, dressing, etc.
- Provide transportation of client to physician, recreation, activities, etc.
- Meal preparation, planning and shopping, light housekeeping, laundry
Personal Care Assistant
At Covenant Home Healthcare, our PCA’s must completed personal care training program and competency. They a compassionate attitude toward the care of our clients young and the elderly. They must read and write and display ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job and are all supervised by registered nurses.
CHH PCA’s services include:
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, including showering, tub or bed baths, oral care, hair and skin care.
- PCA’s assist clients in the use of toilet facilities, including bed pans.
- PCA’s assist clients in and out of bed, excluding the use of mechanical lifting equipment unless trained and documented as competent.
- Assist clients with self-administration of medications, meal preparation and feeding, when required.
Homemaker Services
This in-home service consists of all duties included with our Companion Services. It is for clients that need assistance and/or instruction to an individual in managing their household. Duties include those of companion plus:
CHH Homemaker Services Includes:
- Laundry
- Vacuuming
- Dusting
- Changing linens
- Washing dishes
- Washing floors
- Transportation
Live-in Care & Overnight Assistance
At Covenant Home Healthcare, we take a person-centered approach to live-in or Overnight support and care. We see each one of our clients as who they are – individuals, real people with families and part of our family, likes, dislikes, existing routines and lifestyles. Our caregivers take these elements into account to provide low level or medical-led support tailored to you or your loved one. We work with our clients, their loved ones, their GPs, hospitals and other organizations to deliver the right amount of live-in help. For those who do not want to be home alone at night.
CHH Services include:
- Full-time caregiver in the home, monitored by our nurse
- Assist with daily activities
- Grocery shopping, housekeeping and laundry
- Emergency back-up staff
- Guarantee the client will never be left alone
- Available 24/7
